Sam Sauer has been a committed, compassionate member of Plymouth’s staff since she joined us in 2003. She started in the Rental Office, back when Plymouth maintained our own waiting list for housing.

We are outraged and deeply saddened by the white supremacist attacks that took place in the Atlanta area last week. We grieve the eight people whose lives were taken, six of whom were Asian women. Their names are: Soon Chung Park, Hyun Jung Grant, Suncha Kim, Yong Ae Yue, Delaina Ashley Yaun, Paul Andre Michels, Xiaojie Tan, and Daoyou Feng. We offer our sincerest condolences to their loved ones and every community impacted by this heinous act.

On November 23, we lost a dear member of our Plymouth staff to a tragic incident. As you can no doubt imagine, we are heartbroken and mourning. Plymouth staff and residents gathered in honor of Kris along with some of her friends, family, and members of our local housing community.

Designed and constructed in 1916 and known previously as the Leamington Hotel, the multidimensional Pacific Hotel was constructed to serve both Seattle’s local and transient population as a traveler’s hotel and apartment building until the early 1970s.

We stand with those demanding justice for George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, Charleena Lyles, Ahmaud Arbery, and the countless other Black people who’ve been killed by the police and white supremacy. The loss of each of these people is part of a long history of institutionalized anti-Black racism.
