One of the highlights of last year was the launch of our PROOF Capital Campaign. The campaign allowed us to accelerate the development of hundreds of new permanent supportive housing units, establish an endowment for services, and fund restoration projects at our historic buildings. As you’ll discover, we also strengthened our support of staff and residents. We developed new programs and partnerships, and we achieved an amazing 97% success rate helping our residents retain permanent housing.
2020 also marks Plymouth’s 40th anniversary, and we could not be more proud of our organization. Since our start in 1980, Plymouth has been propelled by a deep belief in our mission and a commitment to resourceful, resident-centered practices. And now, during this time of public health and economic crisis, Plymouth staff and leadership have come together with Plymouth residents to keep one another as safe as possible.
We invite you to read about 2019’s progress in this report, as well as learn about our COVID-19 response here. Thank you for being an integral part of our mission. We say it often, but it’s never been more true: we could not do it without you.
Update: Since this letter was written, the killing of George Floyd spurred nationwide protests against institutionalized racism and in support of Black lives. We stand with those demanding justice and an equitable future. Read our full message of solidarity here.
