Thank you to everyone that joined us Plymouth Housing Group’s 12th Annual Key to Hope Luncheon on Friday, September 25th at the Westin Hotel in downtown Seattle.
Guests were moved by the powerful stories shared by Plymouth residents Mike and Searetha in the luncheon video and by the opening remarks by Plymouth’s executive director, Paul Lambros (watch the video and Paul’s remarks by clicking here).
In his inspiring message about social justice, keynote speaker Bryan Stevenson held the packed Westin ballroom spellbound by by challenging us to “change the narrative– do what’s uncomfortable, do what’s inconvenient, and stay hopeful.”
Seattle Times columnist Jerry Large covered the luncheon– read his powerful summary of Bryan Stevenson’s remarks by clicking here.
Through the incredible generosity of a sold-out crowd (1,350 strong) we raised a record-shattering $810,000!
We’d like to thank the generous group of donors who contributed $250,000 to the Luncheon Challenge Fund and inspired 558 people to give $250 or more at the event.
This year’s luncheon was co-chaired by Plymouth Board Members, Jon Okada and Joan Caine. Special thanks to our co-chairs and the 19 members of the Luncheon Steering Committee for their hard work and leadership.
Thank you to Plymouth supporter Micki Flowers for encouraging guests to give generously with a thoughtful ask that spoke to our hearts. And thanks to the remarkable Pastor Pat Wright, whose unforgettable rendition of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” kept us on the edge of our seats.
And thank you again and again to Patti Payne of the Puget Sound Business Journal, for covering the luncheon again this year. As always, Patti brings her heart and business savvy to the story–read it by clicking here.
To all of our guests and community champions: Thank you for your support of Plymouth Housing Group. We appreciate you.
P.S. Were you unable to attend the luncheon, but would still like to make a contribution? Make your gift here and we will count your contribution toward our luncheon total.
