Thanksgiving at Plymouth: a Community Effort

Posted November 27, 2012

There was no shortage of delicious pies at Plymouth’s Simons Senior Apartments Thanksgiving meal. Pies were donated by community volunteers.

Plymouth Housing Group’s 2012 Thanksgiving meal was a true success due to the time, efforts, and donations of our community!

Thanks to approximately 175 donors who contributed nearly 800 meal items, and 50 volunteers helping to serve the meals, over 600 Plymouth residents enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving feast with all the trimmings.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all who helped provide so many warm and delicious Thanksgiving meals. We greatly appreciate the contributions from individuals in making this a special holiday for our residents. Events like this show our formerly homeless residents that they are part of a greater community who care for them.

Thank you to everyone who gave the gift of food and time to help make Thanksgiving possible for others.
