Plymouth Housing is thrilled to announce the opening of the Plymouth Supply Center. At this vibrant new storefront, Plymouth residents can come in and “shop” for themselves and their homes, free of charge. Inventory will include new and unused personal care items, bedding, and bathroom supplies; pre-loved household goods and kitchen items; adult coats; and much more.
Occupying the ground floor commercial space of Sylvia Odom’s Place on Third Avenue—one of Plymouth’s 17 permanent supportive housing buildings across the region—the Plymouth Supply Center brings back a critical service that Plymouth provided to its residents for several years before it closed during the pandemic.
When someone moves into a Plymouth apartment after experiencing homelessness, having a quality, permanent home is just the beginning. With residents’ yearly income averaging under $9,000, not needing to worry about the cost of essential goods can go a long way in helping someone find stability—allowing them to focus on their healing journey.
The newly renovated Plymouth Supply Center brings beauty and purpose back to a formerly vacant storefront on Third Avenue, featuring a Pacific Northwest-inspired mural by local artist Stevie Shao. Shao was named one of Seattle’s 25 most influential people by Seattle Magazine in 2023. Volunteers from Washington Holdings helped paint the vibrant nature scene. Wells Fargo, Napier Park Global Capital, PNC Foundation and IKEA also contributed funding, in-kind goods, and volunteering to complete the space.
The Plymouth Supply Center is accepting donations of new or gently used household goods and decor; new, unopened personal care items and toiletries; kitchen items; and much more. Click here to learn more about the Plymouth Supply Center, and how to donate.
Interested in volunteering? We’re looking for people who can stock, organize, sort, take inventory of donations, and foster a welcoming environment. For information on shift times and more, please reach out to volunteer@plymouthhousing.org.
Thank you for helping us provide Plymouth residents with the essential items they need to rebuild their lives.
