On Thanksgiving Day, due to the generosity of approximately 100 donors in the community, more than 600 Plymouth residents sat down to a feast with all the traditional trimmings. There were a small group of volunteers at each of our buildings helping staff to serve and share in the wonderful day. All reports were glowing from the fantastic food to great companionship.
Last week, we held our annual Resident Holiday Party. The theme this year was Winter Wonderland, and the residents were served a hearty winter meal lovingly prepared by the Mt. Baker Boys volunteer group. Music was provided by a volunteer Brass Band and Celebrity Bingo called by City Councilwoman Sally Clark. Residents left the party with gift bags filled with treats, hats, gloves, socks & scarves to keep them warm through the winter. Thanks to APEX Facility Resources, Plymouth Congregational Church, The Westin Seattle, and Horizon House Sewing Group for holding drives to collect these items for us.
