April 10-16 is National Volunteer Week!

Posted April 10, 2011

We would like to thank all the people in our community that have volunteered to help Plymouth and our residents throughout the year. We depend upon volunteers to help us in so many ways, from holding essential supply drives for our residents, to helping at our events, or making holiday meals in our buildings. You have truly made a difference in the lives of our residents!

Essential Supply Center Volunteers

Sabrina Andrus and Tina Urso-McDaniel egularly volunteer in Plymouth’s Essential Supply Center.

A few of our Volunteer Stars include: Tina Urso-McDaniel, Sabrina Andrus, and Michelle Teague

Most Thursday afternoons you’ll find these three ladies working away in our Essential Supply Center sorting and organizing donations. They work hard to help make the center look welcoming and organized each week.  But that isn’t all, each of them contributes in other ways. Tina has been a member of our Annual Luncheon Steering Committee for several years, as well as helping with our Seattle Dances! event.  Sabrina is a resident in the Langdon & Anne Simons Senior Apartments, and can be found helping with fundraising events and cooking for her fellow residents as well.  In addition to her Essential Supply Center work, Michelle has volunteered at our Resident Holiday Party and Seattle Dances! We are very appreciative of their time—thank you!

Mercer Island Presbyterian Church

Mercer Island Presbyterian has been a dedicated volunteer group at Plymouth for many years. Four groups regularly serve meals and provide social events for the residents at both the Simons Senior Apartments and Plymouth on Stewart. The connections made between the volunteers and the residents have been wonderful to witness. Thank you to Mercer Island Presbyterian Church!
