In honor of Veterans Day, we’re sharing the stories of some of the U.S. military veterans who call Plymouth home. Read about other Plymouth veterans: Joseph (here); George (here); and Sam (here).
Bruce served in the Army for eighteen years, from January 1978 to October 1996.
He proudly recalls the exact months in which he entered and exited the army. He says that his most memorable moment was the first time he jumped out of an airplane. “We were 3,000 feet up. It was such a rush of adrenaline,” he says. “I’ve had over 450 jumps in my career.”
Before he moved into a home at Plymouth in 2016, Bruce was working as a truck driver for a scrap metal company. He had a life-changing event which left him without a home. After living in shelters, he eventually found his way to Plymouth. We’re glad to have him as part of our community!
